I’ve had a fever the past 2 days. I woke up sick the first day of the second semester. I’m so upset, I had a whole game plan for keeping my shit together this semester and it started off rough. Today has been the first day I’ve been able to get my fever down.

My mom had her surgery on August 13th and she’s still in the ICU. Her incision was infected for a little while so they had to start her on antibiotics. So please understand if I don’t respond to comments! I really appreciate you guys and all of your support!

It took me hardly any time to read this
          I was so fascinated by the story and the characters and how well you described everything. I was reading your post about your hardships and I am sorry. Reading and writing has always been a way for me to personally escape and your story helps a lot. It helps me go to a world I'd love to be in. Especially since I've always been obsessed with mythology and Hades and Persephone. now I'm obsessed with Thanatos too lol. 
          Our prom got cancelled too and I had my dress as well. Crossing my fingers it fits next year bc I can't return it lol.

Thank you so much! I can’t return my prom dress either so really hoping mine fits for my next prom as well. Between what’s been going on and my writers block I haven’t been writing much or putting out many new chapters but I’m pushing through and I’m glad so many people have been so patient and understanding. Really the positive feedback has really outweighed the negative! Sometimes negativity can get the best of you though but I hope I never stop writing

          Determined to get some writing done during this quarantine. My school has been canceled for the rest of the year. I was mostly upset cause I had gotten a $600 prom dress and I’ll have to wait to next year to wear it. Praying it will still fit perfectly like it does now cause with all of the beadwork on it that would be hell to have altered. However I am small and have been this small for the past 3 years so let’s hope that stays the same way. 
          
          Also for those of you who aren’t already aware my stepmom has cancer. Ive been doing my best to keep the house clean, take care of her, and help out the rest of my family. Between trying to spend time with her and take care of her, taking care of other things around the house, and my own personal down time writing hasn’t been something I’ve been able to do a whole lot of. Luckily she’s doing well though and as time has gone on ive managed to get housework done a lot faster than I used to. Also a lot less procrastinating than there used to be. 
          
          I love you guys and thank you all for being so amazing and supportive! Seeing your reassuring comments has been such a blessing. We’ve all come to terms with the situation and things seem a lot more optimistic than they were when we first got the news she had cancer. 
          
          Praying for all of you guys and your families as well during this pandemic. Especially for those of you who have loved ones in the medical field or are in the medical field! But stay home and stay safe!

@baecave300 aw thank you so much hun! And yeah teachers have definitely lost their marbles with all this school work. We actually got some good news the other day though. Her bloodwork came back and the chemo is working, the cancer is shrinking! They’re still not sure whether or not she’ll have to go through surgery but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. She’s definitely lucky tho, pancreatic cancer usually isn’t discovered until it’s to late to do much about it. However, the mass she had isn’t even big enough to see on scans, which is why they can really only tell what it’s doing through bloodwork. Good luck with school and make sure to take care of yourself!

@Lexi-the-book-worm Hey! I'm so sorry to hear about your stepmom. I am so sorry that something you were looking forward to was canceled. I hope you are healthy and happy! Hey, look at it this way though you get to spend more time with her because you don't have to go to school. I know it's not a totally bright point of view but it's brighter than most.  Though I'm happy that she is doing better than before. You are an amazing person!  I'm praying for your family!  I hope you aren't stressing too much with school work. My teachers are assigning a crazy amount of school work.  Anyway enough from me I hope all is well with you.

@HopeHudson5 luckily my school has handled the situation pretty well. They’ll start assigning online work tomorrow, they didn’t start this week cause it was still “spring break”. They’ve already made arrangements for the kids without internet access. However I’m not sure how they’re managing things like credit recovery, my school has made sure that we won’t have to repeat a grade and there’s no risk of us not being able to pass. Teachers also have arranged hours to talk one on one with students for those who may have questions or need a more in depth explanation. I’m pretty sure if my middle of nowhere school can manage to handle this so well a lot of other schools will be able to do so also. Certain things may just make a little more time and further discussion before a solution is decided upon!
