Hi. I wanted to post a quick update since I vanished without warning. If you were following Chronic and got used to frequent updates, you probably thought I died. I didn’t, my life just changed. A family member was sick recently. Thankfully, they’re okay now, but during that time, I ended up enrolling in an online college. I’ve been getting settled and pursuing a path in criminal justice behind the scenes.
If you read my drabbles, I’m still writing them. I want to start bringing them here more often. My Tumblr page (where they started) has blown up with a new audience. I’ve found that I connect more deeply on Tumblr and I’ve had so many meaningful conversations about mental health and life. I’ve always been quite passionate about mental health, so that means a lot to me.
As for Chronic, I still want to finish it. I’m sorry for the sudden pause. Everything with my family member happened, college occurred, and I didn’t like the direction I was taking the story. I’ve been planning it out and I haven’t settled on what I like yet. I’m still working on it, but it’s a lot slower. I don’t have as much passion for it as I once did. Once it’s finished, I’ll upload it all at once.
This year, I want to start focusing more on original full-length stories. I still enjoy writing full-length fanfic with big plots, lots of trauma, drama, and twists, but I want to grow and work toward my goal of being a published author, while also starting college and building a successful career. Unfortunately, I'm only one person and I can only do so much.
I’m still around, just not as active on Wattpad. If you miss my writing, I still post new drabbles often on Tumblr (lieslab) My stories here aren’t going leaving. I’ll be around if you need me.
