Bowtruckles serve as guardians for their home tree, right. You have to distract them with wood lice or fairy eggs to even take a leaf from it. Yet, Pickett clings to Newt to the point where he refuses to even be set down on his original tree. So basically Pickett has claimed Newt as his new home tree. Literally though.
          
          Pickett: I don’t wish to stay in my tree, because the other Bowtruckles are mean to me. I will find a new tree, a better tree. This tall wizard will do just fine. Yes. Good.

          The day after... 
          I still can't believe it and here I am in the Netherlands, confused.
          Hillary got the majority of the votes, but Trump is going to be the new president...
          I would offer you my home, but flying halfway around the world just is not a real option.
          I hope you can pull through this, I hope you can find comfort with the people you love and trust.
          Most of all I hope you're safe. I know you don't feel safe. I know you're not safe, but I hope you, personally, at this moment, are not in immediate danger.
          I wish you all the strength you need to get through this.
