Just a guess, but I think the new Koco in Sonic Frontiers is going to be something like: if you find all of them, you unlock Super Sonic for the Open Zone. That's my theory anyway. Probably wrong, but I figured I'd take a swing at it.

The back and forth between Genshin and Sonic right now is really nerve-racking, yet also super exciting seeing so many people come together to push back against the powerhouse that is Genshin Impact. Vote Sonic Frontiers! Let's bring that award back for our boy!
Oh, how I yearn for such bliss Here in the dark abyss But even in darkness, there's no escape From the endless cries that chain me to this reality An abnormality of immortality Craving for the moment of its duality
Still to this day I do not understand why some people get confused by the whole Werehog thing in Sonic Unleashed. Eggman was not trying to turn Sonic into a Werewolf, that was a side effect of forcefully extracting the Chaos Emeralds' power from Sonic's body and prematurely awakening Dark Gaia. Note also that Dark Gaia's final form is called PERFECT Dark Gaia, which it only transforms into shortly after having absorbed its power back from Sonic when he was transformed into the Werehog. "Perfect" is a word the Sonic series does not use lightly for its bosses. The only other time is with Perfect Chaos, which it only became after absorbing the negative energy of the Emeralds, turning the gemstones black in the process. And what happens after Dark Gaia is awakened at the start of Sonic Unleashed? The Emeralds turn black, losing their colour. And yet, Dark Gaia remains as Dark Gaia, throughout the entire game, until absorbing Sonic's Werehog power from him, keying you into the fact that Sonic likely absorbed a portion of the Emeralds' negative energy along with Dark Gaia's. There is clearly a lot more thought put into things, and the many story beats throughout this game, than more people are willing to give it credit for, or are even willing to acknowledge. I know Sonic Team are often hit-or-miss with their products, but not every game is made by the same people. Sonic Team's development staff often shifts with each game they make. The writers of Unleashed clearly knew what they were doing. Even the best companies in the world pump out crap every now-and-again, yet people are usually always rather forgiving with them for some reason. Yet when it comes to more rocky companies, a lot of people are always so harsh to anything that company releases from the get-go. If you go into something expecting it to be bad, or without even giving it a chance, then you're substantually less likely to appreciate all the good things that are presented.
Dark: Of course I want to hate the one who gave me this purpose, and there's probably a part of me that does, but all I'd be doing is adding onto my own misery if I did. And, to be frank, I'm sick of living a life of hatred and despair. I won't allow my existance to be dictacted by such emotions, not anymore. I look onward, to the future, never to be restrained again by my past or anyone else's.
It always confuses me that some people have issues with the character designs in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, yet practically no one has any problems with the character designs in Persona 5. Like, Ann is literally wearing a latex suit with a window for her cleavage. Now, I don't care about the design. I think people should be free to design characters however they want, rather than restrict their creativity. However, what I do care about is if it makes sense for the character. It always confused me that Ann reacts with disgust and humilation towards her sudden change of attire, but promptly forgets it immediately afterwards. You'd think someone who's extremely uncomfortable being seen in a sexy outfit would do something about it. We see in the last Palace of the base game that they can summon their outfits at will when they're about to fight, so can they not unsummon them? And if they can't, then couldn't Ann just do up the zipper to minimalise her discomfort? You can't have a character acknowledge something and then prompty forget about it afterwards for the rest of the story. That's bad character writing. (Yes, I just said that about Persona 5.) I'm not going to excuse a minor character trait just because of how good many other aspects a story has. In Xenoblade Chronicles 2, that game's story has the excuse of taking place in another universe than our own. I see people talk about the lack of respect taken with the designs, or the way in how characters react to them, but they're making the mistake of comparing our world to theirs. Those people are placing their moral standards for people and our world onto a world and people set in another universe, with different morals and beliefs. The characters don't react to a person's attire in that world, because that's how their society has grown to be over the course of history. That's kind of why I don't like the Massive Melee Mythra outfit, because it goes against Mythra's character and everything that world represents.
Fading flames of the night Bound in chains for The Dark One's plight No pain or sorrow For he has taken upon himself the burden of liberating them from the morrow Now he cries, screaming And so they, too, reflect his inner turmoil
Unpopular opinion: I actually love the character designs in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, male and female. Everyone feels so unique, and their outfits and colours help them to all stand out and be easily recognisable. I didn't all that much mind the designs in the first game. I thought some of them looked really basic and generic, with a few exceptions, but the varying colours helped them to each stand out and make them easy to tell apart. Now, I recognise that the third game isn't out yet, but from what I've seen so far: the designs aren't really doing it for me. I'm not saying they're bad, I just think they look somewhat generic and their colours are all, like...odd. Like, why are so many of them wearing monochrome colours? Where's the variety of the previous games? Everyone looks the damn same! They all just blend in with one another. It's not exactly eye-catching when your main characters all look like duplicates (somewhat) of one another. I guess they might have compelling characters, but the samey designs really hold it back in my eyes. Then again, Xenoblade Chronicles 2's designs had narrative reasons behind them, so maybe 3's does as well. If so, I can overlook the blandness of them a little, but that still doesn't make them any more appealing than they already are. I just hope there are some more colourful character designs we haven't seen yet, but I somehow doubt that will be the case.
I still hold the opinion that we should be encouraging creativity, not repressing it. It seems the more restrictive things get, the more people eventually learn to tolerate it and accept it as the current societal norm. Sure, there might be something you don't like, but it's not worth impeeding others freedoms and happiness just for your own gratification. I don't understand why expressing yourself is so hated. If you wanna design some cool and sexy characters, go right ahead. It's fiction. It's your world and your character. So many people treat everything like it has to uphold to the "standards" of our world, even when the world that is being created has little-to-no connection to ours. Even if it's an alien world or a fantasy world, it seems some people just can't comprehend when something in that world works differently to ours. It's not always about agreeing with how things work in that world, it's about understanding how things work in that world. If you can't understand how things can be different in their world, to what's generally accepted in our world, then I don't know what to tell ya. Not every character will react or behave to how you might expect them to act, because that's the just the nature of their world and not ours. This is the beauty of fiction; to express yourself and your desires. To do something that you may or may not be able to in reality, yet there are those who really don't seem to understand this, for some reason, and try to restrict people's imaginations and creativity. The last thing I want is to live in a world where you're always having to change your ideas, because some random person/rule is like "No, no, you can't do that. Nope, can't do that either. Orrr that." It's like that time in the comic industry a few decades back, where people weren't allowed to show blood or violence, or have anyone die, or the villains win. It feels like we're slowly descending down into that scary path again, with the way things seem to be going.
I think what's funny about this to me is how many people had issues with XB2 having too much freedom and creativity with their designs. And yet, for me, the issue I'm having with XB3 is the opposite, where it feels like all that freedom and creativity has been stripped away, and now we're left with the most bland-and-generic-looking characters imaginable. It doesn't matter if you're able to switch outfits in the game, those outfits are almost always non-canon. The main outfits are going to be the ones that people see, and the ones that they will be most familiar with. If the main outfits look bland and boring, and the alternate outfits are the ones with better designs, then those should have been the designs from the start, unless there's a narrative reason for it. (DLC outfits don't count.)
A lot of people seem to be thinking that the red and black colouring for the number "3" in the Sonic The Hedgehog 3 image is hinting at Shadow. But I think the red and black in the number are for the red and black eyes that Metal Sonic usually has. Personally, I just think it's way too soon soon to be teasing Shadow. Like, yeah, I know about G.U.N. being in the trailer, but given all the other characters that appear in Adventure 2, I think it would be smarter to start with the CD plotline first. Introduce Amy and Metal Sonic, and perhaps the Chaos Emeralds. Eggman powers up Metal with the blue quill of Sonic's. Then Adventure 2, introducing Shadow and Rouge, and expand upon the powers of the Emeralds with Chaos Control and such. Perhaps have it so G.U.N. get their hand on the destroyed Metal Sonic and blue quill. Metal Sonic's tech is used to build the G.U.N. robots, and the quill is used to create Shadow. And then end it with Adventure 1, introducing Chaos and Big. Don't know what you'd do after that though. Maybe Heroes? Give Metal Sonic a grand return as the upgraded Neo Metal Sonic? This is all just speculation at the end of the day.
