I don't know man, how can i motivate you but I'll try.
Ash is gone and it's the truth that we all have accepted but at the same time we still haven't but in your story ash is still here, our childhood hero is still here and it's what matters. We all want to see pokemon world react to ash's true self. how kind he is, how much hardwork he had done to achieved all three machanics and he isn't just some stupid kid as many people think. ash could've written very good but Pokemon company didn't want to do it but you can do. show the world how much potential ash has. I know ash had to go but his farewell didn't fill enough to me but at least I can satisfy my self with your story. It's your own story man, you can do anything with it. Remember ash is still alive in our heart and in your story.
This is very much I can say and it's your own choice if you want to do it or not. If you don't want to do it so be it, you don't have to forced your self but remember thousands of us are still waiting. I know I sound selfish but it's human nature.
