U can write story where instead of Pandavas, kauravas got separat land after division of hastinapur. Where almost all lower cast , some upper cast and few Brahmins who believe in equality decided to follow kaurava because they treat everybody equally unlike Pandavas who only care about upper cast and Brahmins. Duryodhana with help of Karn create a rich and strong kingdom which surpass hastinapur and duryodhana rule it's rightly. Whereas hastinapur is suffering due to Pandavas rule.
