Have you ever, as a writer, thought of giving up on something you worked so hard for because no matter how hard you tried... It meant nothing ? It failed ?

@goofynight Thank you. I guess I needed to hear this. I was thinking about rewriting the whole piece later at some point.

@LilDarkProxy Imagine you are in a relationship with an object or person. That object or person has emotions, and it may sometimes be miserable on being with them, but you worked hard for that relationship to be well-built. Moreover, it may be disheartening to see a work that you worked hard for failed, but don't give up. I'm not a writer, but if you worked hard on something--reach for the sparkling stars.  Also, there's always space to restart if you want to.
