Why I love Bakugo.
It's because he's pretty damn realized as a character. Usually, people like him are fragile in their convictions and can be changed with Talk no Jutsu. But he's actually serious when he says he wants to be the best HERO. That actually means something to him. I can't think of him as arrogant because he actually is as good as he thinks he is. He's among the smartest in his class. His asshattery is to be expected when you have everyone never giving a shit about any other aspect of who you are.

His quirk and strength have always been his identity, but now that he's learning what it means to be a hero, he's rising to that challenge. Someone with a quirk as destructive as his would usually be portrayed as not caring about any residual damage as long as the job gets done. Not Bakugo. He's fully aware of when he needs to tone it down if lives are on the line. I love this guy.
