Malachai waved his hands, and the oceans rose from the shores. He had no care in the world; he was going to get his revenge even if it meant killing everybody in his path. The winds around him swirled faster as he threw hurls of water at the villagers surrounding him. He could hear his father yelling, begging him not to do it, but it was too late; he was already long gone, lost even. The screams of the people around him didn’t even make him flinch; he just continued to throw thousands of gallons of water and ice at anybody standing between him and the man in the black cape on the sand mound ahead of him. The man stood there watching all of these people die with a sadistic smile. Just as he had with Malachai’s mother. His blood boiled with rage as he threw one last blast of water and ice at the crowds, and this time, he managed to reach the man, and he fell to the ground. Malachai didn’t feel any different than he had before this. He still felt empty and numb. And his mom was still gone...forever. And it was all his fault. Ignoring his father’s protests, he walked himself into the ocean and willed it to take him away, allowing his lungs to fill with the salty seawater, finally reuniting with his mother after nearly three months.

After the events that killed thousands of their people in 1623, they had no choice but to come to an agreement that witches and angels were not permitted to have children and no relations.

Soon after that, a prophecy was born and spoken by the head priestess of the Silver Moon Coven.

A child will be born of both a witch and an angel. This child will hold the mark of the moon and a feathered wing. A reaper will be her savior only when they are joined; they will truly be able to save all of humankind and the world of magic.
