Brand new day probably does have some reasonable things to complain about but the entire plot completely makes sense because the movie is literally about human connection and how that can help you accept, get through, and adapt to situations that aren't amazing and that message is consistent through both Peter's and Jean's individual storylines and also where their situations overlap.

It should be impossible at least. I don't think about media all that critically until I do. Sometimes it takes someone shoving the idea at me and telling me to think and sometimes it's just me thinking it through while im watching it (I thought wifies newest video could've been about the struggles of trying to believe in something after death or even religion to begin with, especially if you're somebody who wants information and facts about something before you can say you believe it, both things that are incredibly difficult to do with religion/believing in things after death so when Hummer tells Wifies that if he can't believe in Levi then he needs to not trust Hummer but to believe in Hummer and what he's saying.) but it's so unbelievably obvious that BND is about human connection if you take a second to think about it without being blinded by the nostalgia of TASM 1-2 or S-M 1-3

It's impossible to miss the point of the movie considering they literally outright TELL YOU multiple times and give plenty of examples of humam connection and how human connection can help you through hard times in life.
