**I don’t do read requests or votes if you ask me. To be honest, when you ask someone to do a favor for you, did you ever make the time to give the author in return for what you’re asking? Have you ever interact with me? Took the time to talk to me? Or read and voted for me?
If you want something done for you, you may need to do something in return for someone else. It’s a bummer for me to spend my time & energy reading someone’s book, leaving comments & votes, making someone happy, when they haven’t done the same thing for me, as if using me as a tool to get more votes & whatnot for their own book. I’m a new writer on here with little votes and reads, but then I see you having a lot more than I’ll ever have probably, asking me to read your book and leave a vote, when I’m over here struggling. Like, how you think that makes me feel?
I only do requests from friends, from people who are interested in me enough to get to know me as a person, & from people who support me & my work. I mean, I’m already discouraged from not getting much attention on my work, which is why I haven’t been on here.**
