Writer, spoken word performer, horror know-it-all, Lizzie Violet is the dark little girl, with a crooked smile. A lover of all things creepy, including horror silent movies, she is also a well-known Zombiephile. She is currently working on a novel, a poetry/short story manuscript, and a horror movie short. Her own writing can be found amongst some of Canada's finest literary magazines including Carousel, Nest, and NorthWord, and most recently in the anthology about Redheads, Canadian Ginger (alongside Margaret Atwood).

Lizzie has featured at Pride, Nuit Blanche, Wonder Women IV, V and VI, Live Words, Plasticine Poetry Series, Handshake Gallery, The Beautiful & The Damned, and WordSpell reading series and many more of Toronto's finest reading series. Lizzie stars in The Redhead Revue along with Heather Babcock.

Previously, Lizzie ran the very successful Lizzie Violet's Cabaret Noir, The Beautiful and the Damned, and is a huge supporter of the Toronto Spoken Word, Poetry, Storyteller, and arts scene. She was also part of the committee that ran the Toronto Zombie Walk and in the mid-1990s to early 2000s was the Creator and Editor-in-chief of the feminist web and print zine Shebytches.

I also run a monthly b-movie night with my partner-in-crime Zoltan Du Lac in the performance space at The Imperial. (First Saturday of every month) Please check out Killer B Cinema - https://www.facebook.com/killerbcinema/
