Hi, I was debating whether to write this, but thought it would be best to share how I’m feeling as others might be feeling the same. I really respect your work, and I understand how much time, effort, and energy goes into writing a book. That said, right now, it really feels like the readers are being ripped off and taken advantage of, I am sure you are not doing this intentionally.
Charging $17 a month for a book is frankly a lot. To put it in perspective, a fully finished book usually costs $15- $30 maximum at a bookstore. With what you have right now, we are paying almost that exact amount every single month for only one or two chapters, followed by weeks of silence. Over a few months, we’re spending way more than the cost of a full book for barely any progress.
Also, reposting older books doesn't provide new value for day one fans who have already read them. While the 20% first month discount is appreciated, it doesn't really solve the long term issue of how much we have to pay per month and ultimately year for 1-3 books.
I want to support your journey, and I understand that you also need to get paid for your work, but the math and the schedule just don't add up right now. It feels like our loyalty is being used. I hope you can understand where I am coming from. I don’t mean any disrespect.
Maybe I am the only one feeling this way, who knows, but I don’t think I can keep paying that much. Good luck on everything!
