After Kalos, Ash becomes darker and starts to hide his heart from everyone except his mother and his Pokémon. Heartbroken that her son won’t love, Delia decides to move them to Alola, hoping that a change will allow the old Ash to come back. Maybe a shy sweet boy name Gladion can give Ash the ability to love again?
