I see it…
This flame without voice.
This sky without stars.
This kingdom without a king.
Can I go there?
Can I feel it?
I want to fly away…
And embrace this dream.
I can hear her music,
So beautiful. So pretty. So unreal.
And it’s calling to me…
I move, slowly…
Towards this dark light.
Hesitating,
but proud.
I hear whispers, soft and tender.
They’re speaking about kindness, and love, and peace.
And they’re speaking about a land filled with stars and happiness.
And so, I walk,
ignoring my pain,
ignoring my cries.
But my pain grows…
And so too do my cries, and my fears.
And soon…
My vision darkens…
And my body goes numb…
And every sound disappears…
Save for her music,
Save for her cries.
And soon…
My mind…
It shatters.
