I have a quick question for you all we we get closer to me starting to drop chapters for Raising the Bar. Do you like the Mon/Wed/Fri release dates? Would other days of the week be better? What days do you like to read? I would still plan to do three chapters a week, but I want to make sure that it is easy for as many of you as possible to get to the chapters when you like.

Okay, since some people thought I was torturing you, I dropped another chapter of Whiskey and Rye... Which might make you feel like I'm torturing you. So... oops?

You know, two days ago was my 5 year anniversary on this platform. A lot has happened in that time, when I struggled to find an audience, to where I am not with over 4k lovely followers. I've always appreciated every one of your reads, follows, votes and comments, and I'll keep doing my best to give you more things to read that keep you entertained.
          
          On another note, I know that quite a few of you are trying to write some books too, and it isn't always easy. For the first year and a half, I struggled to find an audience, and I realize that it can be frustrating to get your books out there. But, don't give up hope. I would tell you to keep writing, write things that you would like to read so that you feel motivated to get to the ending for your own satisfaction. Join a book club, try to cultivate relationships, leave comments that let others see your thought process. Do NOT give up, ever. Keep writing, and your audience will find you, even if it takes time. I wish you all the success in the world, because I know it isn't always easy to open yourself up to the feedback that comes with sharing your creativity with others. But it is worth it. And for those of you that want to write, but haven't taken the plunge, give it a shot. Even if it is a one shot or a short story, dip your toes in the pool and see what you can come up with.

          I loved all your comments and reactions.  I really love seeing my readers get invested and involved, it really makes all the work worthwhile.
          It may have taken me 2 years to write, but so far it's given me at least 3 years of joy watching  people react to it, get excited about MY characters who are like an extension of me.
          I wish I had more for you, but I can honestly say that following your journey through these pages has given me a big push to try to get moving on another story, so thank you for spending this time in my imagination.

Much like on Christmas, expect some bonus chapters on Whiskey and Rye this week for New Years. You'll get a second chapter on New Year's Eve, and then a little treat on New Years Day (assuming there are no hangovers!) as well. Happy Almost New Years!
