Just thought I'd let you all know, I'm still very much alive and well, and I'm hard at work on Call of the Black. Rewriting an entire book is not an easy process, I tell you that much. All the same, I am working on it. I intend to post the next rewrite (and next chapter) very soon, so keep an eye out. Peace.

Hey followers, bad news... I kind of promised a bit too much in my last post, so I'll just be honest with you now; I don't think that the books will be ready on time for the November 31st deadline. Sadly the role change has made a lot more work than I expected there to be, and so there will have to be a delay. On the bright side however, I'm still working on the other things I mentioned, such as holders rituals and the spin-off series that details the metaphorical "high-school" years of Scarlet's ascension to being an assassin and showing how she got through those years. I'm truly sorry, I didn't think there would be this much work involved, but unfortunately there is. In the mean time, all the releases and their dates will be announced in a few weeks when I have a better idea of how long they will take.

Another thing I couldn't say in that is that I will be updating the story with little pieces of information in regards to characters if I think that it enhances the story.

Big announcement! I am swapping the two main character roles around. The master will become the apprentice, and the apprentice will become the master. There is good reason behind this; I believe that Scarlet fits the role of the apprentice in terms of her name. Let me explain; Scarlet is a shade of red, which in psychology symbolises passion and love. Each character's name has meaning behind it that attributes to their role in the story (Michael's mother, soon to be Scarlet's mother has no name, indicating her lack of importance). Michael's name means humble, and Areli means hero. I was originally going for a kind of "humble hero" kind of character, but honestly... I just think that's boring. Scarlet suits the role of apprentice far better in my opinion. Everyone else remains the same, including Adina (this could get very interesting...). It also opens up a slew of new opportunities for possible story progressions. Also, those who read far enough into the Holders series may notice a similarity between one shaman and one enigmatic asshole. Apart from that, I have no other important announcements, I just wanted to let you know that both series I have written will soon be updated, as well as the new one that I mentioned. Rest assured, the fifth chapter will be ready before December, as well as the prologue for the new series I promised. And of course, a new Holder entry (@always-second-best). Apart from that, I would also like to say that I thoroughly enjoy writing and the feedback I have gotten back from people has been incredibly helpful. I would especially like to thank always-second-best for being incredibly helpful and also being awesome by sharing my love of paranormal and creepy stuff. I'll keep updating the chapters with little changes to grammar, spelling and sentence structure. Once again, I strongly advise you pm me with any advice, opinions or questions you may have. Alright followers, I just wanted to let you guys know, Call of the Black chapter 5 is almost here, as some are anxiously anticipating. Just a heads-up though, I won't be covering Michael's training as an assassin until later. I'm planning on writing a new series entirely to cover that. Once I finish chapter 5 I will work on the first instalment of this new series, as well as chapter 6. Both chapter 6 and the new series will be released at the same time, as well as a new Holder story. First post ever here. Call Of The Black is a book I'm working on (prologue and two chapters already finished, about halfway through the third). Fair warning, there is a lot of violence, and it is quite brutal. There is not much sex, apart from a bit of nudity and sexual references, but I'm sure you can manage. Feedback is welcomed with open arms, as much feedback as you like.
