Yeah, I am currently non-existent on discord cause I can't log back in, but don't worry, I'm working on it. If I'm not back within the week, I'll be making a new account, and crying at the loss of my own server. Wish me luck, and please tell the gang that I'm outta commission for a bit please and thank you.

Hi Ranger! I love reading your books and AU ideas! :P

I’m working on a creative writing badge for my scouts group, (I’m aging out in June)
One of the requirements is to learn about two of my favorite authors and what inspires them to write. I don’t read a lot of non-fanfiction so I don’t have interviews to watch or articles to read so, I was hoping you might like to answer a few questions?

          What inspires you to write?
How do you find motivation for your writing?
Do you have a favorite book of your own writing? if so, which book?

          Thank you so much! :D

BlazeKittsune

Thank you so much for responding! :D
I do see exactly what you mean with motivation, inspiration for salmon shaped hat once struck me and its one of the best hats I’ve crocheted to this day!

@BlazeKittsune Ooooo exciting!! And np :>

            1. I just want to put my ideas out there, writing has come naturally to me for years and I finally started doing what I wanted with it instead of just writing for school assignments. A lot of stories I read in books, see from games, or watch in movies and shows help me come up with ideas for things I’m working on. Having a community you write with also helps! I’ve gotten so many ideas from other writers and my readers.

            2. Motivation is a difficult thing to grasp, but a lot of mine comes from the support I’ve gotten over the years. When I started I didn’t think my work was all that good, but I had so many people say such kind things about my stories and it drives me to keep going and make them even better! Another thing is inspiration often creates motivation, so don’t think not interacting with any medias you like will help you focus. You know that feeling when you come up with an idea and you’re so excited you get right to working on it? That.

            3. I don’t have a favorite *book* of mine per se, more so I have favorite parts of each of my books. Grey Rose’s atmosphere and environment, Vengeful’s creative potential, Beneath the Waves’ highlighting of alien ecosystems, Metal and Bone’s theme of finding hope when everything’s come crashing down, just to name a few things. I don’t have enough writing space to name all my favorite parts! What they all have in common though, is I was able to have fun with making my story. I believe that writing a story shouldn’t be made to be a drag, it should come from the heart and be a joy to do.

Happy New Year’s everybody! I just wanted to give a small update :>

I’m finally getting over the long bout of writer’s block I’ve had recently, but instead of regular updates immediately starting again, I realized that one of the reasons it started in the first place is I’d have to look at old chapters for things to reference and catch myself up on what I had planned. A lot of these chapters, having been some of the first things I wrote here, are a bit old and have parts that don’t make much sense, or I just internally cringe at it in general >->

So, I’m going to be rewriting a few things! No new books (yet), just going back over old chapters and giving them a fresh coat of paint, so to speak. Literally too, as I’m gonna be updating some covers. And while I work on bigger projects, I’ll still occasionally put something new in the AU book to give y’all new content too. Also, don’t panic if a few chapters or a book disappears, I’m not deleting anything! Some things just need a bit more work than others, and that means temporarily unpublishing them =v=‘

So yeah, that’s my New Year’s plan! I’ll see you all soon :>
