""Do it again" Mrs. Kingsley shouted.
I put my hands on my knees, taking in deep breaths. My entire body ached of exhaustion.
"And we'll keep doing it until you get it right!"
Disturbia by Rihanna came blasting through the speakers, and we did it again.
Mrs. Kingsley stormed across the room, and got right in Marissa's face. "If you screw up one more time, I'm sending you packing. Do you understand me?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Good, now do it again!"
I stripped my tank top and tossed it in the growing pile. I took in a deep breath right as the music started blasting.
We did it three more times, before Mrs. Kingsley exploded.
"How do you guys expect to win? I haven't seen one perfect run-through yet! Hello girls, it's Thursday. We compete tomorrow."
I ground my teeth. She wasn't ever at practice! How would she even know what it's supposed to look like in the first place?
"Again!"
I looked to Alyssa, who had her hands on her knees. She shot a murderous glare at Mrs. Kingsley, but we all obediently got back into position.
"And if we can't get it right this time, there will be punishments" she called, as she pressed play.
We danced it again, and Mrs. Kingsley stalked up to the front of the room. "Leslie, Morgan, Miranda, and Marissa. Those are the girls you can thank as you do frog jumps."
FML. I glared at Mrs. Kingsley as I started my frog jumps. Who does she think she is anyways? She certainly wasn't our dance teacher, because I hadn't seen her at one rehearsal. Alyssa ran everything!
No one asked how many, we just did them. I reached forty before she stopped us.
"Now tighten up and try it again. Or next time it'll be worse."
I danced my heart out, and she smiled as the song ended. "Now that's a competitive dance team. Go and grab some water ladies."
I grabbed my water bottle, and was instantly surrounded by the rest of the dance team, including Alyssa.
