Light-ridden caves
Dark-hidden skies
The river's turned sunset hues
Oranges, pinks, yellows
Only to the violent red's demise

They paint the sky no longer.
Like a small bluebird, lost
A large vulture, caught
The hues remain there
But fallen, seeing as snow

Such machines we are
Painting emotion we don't ever read
The boy writes with his quill
Of the quarreling caves
How he couldn't be saved
The bluebird's trill
Oh, but what a great kill 

Lies on paper
His thoughts abrew
Just as soon as yellow-green apples fall
Listen closely to dark-winged shadows that call
"Goner, goner, goner"
The crows scream, but a silent whisper
Stumble into a wood
Paint him in kerosene
The little boy who cried wind
Wind among quarreling caves
Wind in the snowblind
Wind under the graves
Wind over his heart
Wind superstitions
He's a work of art
Painted so well
Awaiting the flame, to burn him apart

Lay solemn, bury you dead
Lay stiff, drag your dread
Stand tall, invincisible
The buzzards up on the twelfth cloud
Notre Dame pigeons waving goodbye
Frail wings tainted blue
Shattered by that bluebird's tongue

Mine the peacocks
They don't wait long
Red-Blue hawks
Watch them close
Before they come
To thieve your tose

Possible lost
Vacant fields
Ending days
Live dark skies
Deathly bright caves
A bluebird's cry
A crow's silent scream
A vulture's kerosene heart left to burn
Cloud Twelve buzzards frozen, still
Peacocks minding so desperately
Red-blue hawks, when will you see?
Wiser owls dread, dead, gone
All while sparrows tick away
At pigeons they've shattered, waving goodbye

All because you were invincisible
