Hi everyone!
It's been a while since I last posted or updated about Karla Atkins x Severus Snape fanfiction.
I'm sorry that I stopped updating in the past 3 years. I dunno know why… but I just did.
The outline’s finished, but I wasn’t satisfied with my writing style. I experienced difficulties in crafting the prose--haha!
I experienced dilemmas: how to translate what’s in my imagination to text, which writing style should I be using, and what do I want exactly—Haha!
Other than that, Karla’s story was initially meant to finish in a single book. Yet I can’t stop. So, around 2022-2023, I continued, following her voice. Ended with an outline of 2 more books leading to Deathly Hallows.
But then… I learnt that the first book needs a lot of fixing with how the story went.
Ever since, I have never forgotten about her, until now.
Although I stopped writing the prose, I kept on taking notes, alternate universes, listed out the background story--turned out she was more than how I first knew her.
Within the past 3-5 years, I wrote a song about our meeting, about how I knew her. Released it in 2022 in my music project Ghandiee_, and Karla’s Song had been the one that resonates with people, including friends who never read about Karla.
I don't know why she clings to me.
I wrote short stories and other long forms, film script drafts, etc, but they were all fragments of her story that I converted into original work.
And now… within the last 3 weeks, something kicked in. Maybe my ADHD kicking in, or it’s just the timing after life’s been happening around me.
But everything suddenly came back. My motivation to continue writing, world building, character breakdowns, and song writing.
I rewrote the full synopsis based on my last outline revision of the story, to recall and twig some things.
So… I finally finished Karla's story.
And turned out there will be 4 books—haha.
