Had a wee look at some of the recent comments in my notifications and I’ve removed the character images at the start of Detention Boys as they were super triggering to a lot of you even tho half of you all made me laugh  again - I wrote this back in 2015 when I was 17 and to clarify you all I lived in NORTHERN SCOTLAND in a small village so (especially back then) there was like 0 diversity when I was growing up, so of course it wasn’t going to cross my mind to give all the characters diverse backgrounds. But on another note - at lot of y’all really need to learn how to give your opinions in either a constructive manner or a lot more politely (guys I’m good with sarcasm and humour so not aiming at any of you) but y’all that were like “I’m from England and there’s diversity here so you need to change it cause you’re wrong” etc. really need to take a rain check and go write your own story - just cause your experience is different from someone else’s doesn’t mean that person is wrong. Of course I know a lot more now with age and experience of the world, and if a lot of you commenting are only in your teens and don’t know how to write appropriate comments, you should all maybe think about not sharing those comments online until you know how to share your opinion - and that’s just in general on all websites/social media.
          	
          	I appreciate you all just using your own imagination and not caring about things like the description of characters- so thanks for the continued support! X

The older I get the more I notice how toxic the comments section in a lot of sites is getting and that more and more people need to learn how there opinion in a way that is open minded and not rude. These comments don’t bother me, but there are people that do get bothered by this and I won’t have my comments section being a place for other readers to get rude comments directed their way. I’m all for sarcasm and humour, but if you don’t know how to do it right you really need to be mindful of how written messages online can come across to others.

❗️I need your help ❗️
          
          Detention Boys is becoming so popular on Wattpad again… (you guys are crazy but I love you all)
          
          I need your options! The Detention Slip - yay or nay? Do you all prefer the original? Do we need The Detention Slip? 
          
          The Detention Slip was fun to reimagine during the pandemic and it really helped giving me something to focus on… but with time gives new perspectives, and I feel as though The Detention Slip might not be needed? 
          
          Please let me know your thoughts in the comments!!

@cimmanim thank you! Everything you said is exactly why I wrote the Detention Slip in the first place - I felt the original was a bit cliche and lacking character depth, but changes to both Alec’s ex and dad were two big changes that I couldn’t just do in the original without a rewrite.

Hi :) I just wanted to say that I love your writing style and the way you convey your characters. I read a lot and detention boys is without a doubt the best book on watpad, I haven't been able to put it down :) I guess what I want to say is that you have a big fan in Sweden, looking forward to future stories!
