I'm starting to think that Snape is even more messed up than I thought, cuz JK Rowling confirmed that he's the boggart of plenty of children. Example: Neville Londubat
Neville’s BIGGEST FEAR is his teacher and no one seemed to find it alarming. His parents were tortured by death-eaters, so why aren't them his biggest fear?
And contra argument I often hear is: Well, he was still a baby, probably didn't even meet those death-eaters, why would he be so afraid of it? Well, that IS a solid point. But, why isn't his biggest fear of heights, then? Didn't his uncle like throw him out a window? He nearly could have died! Did Snape try to kill him or something?
