"The floor creaked as I walked through the old dusted hallway. I could hear the thunder outside as a kept walking. Old pictures hanging on the walls around me. The room was dark and cold. I felt the breath of my best friend Ariana behind me as we continued through the ratty hall.
We finally reached a door that ended the long hallway. I jiggled the door nob. Locked. My spine shivered as we stared at the door.
I looked up at Ariana, her velvet red hair pulled back behind her face. Her violet eyes twinkling as she looked back at me. She took a deep breath.
Her arms slowly transforming into wings. Her body shrinking down. I felt wind blowing all over the room making it colder then it already was.
Me and Ariana were forbidden to be friends. We were from 2 different species. She was a vampire and I was a werewolf.
I wondered why she transformed into a bat but then I realized that there was a little hole leading to where we were trying to go.
Light was glowing through. I could tell that it was sunny on the other side of the door. I couldn't let Ariana risk her life to open the door.
She started flying to the hole. I had to think fast. I shot my hand over the hole leaving no way through.
Her wings started going back to the original Ariana piercings.
I shrugged at her and she shrugged back.
I started turning around to go back to the real world with real people and no were wolves or vampires. Instead of going through the door where there lived pixies and witches and of course werewolves and vampires and many other strange creatures.
Ariana grabbed my arm and pulled me back.
"Chynna, we need to get through. If we miss another meeting with our parents they will forbid us to even leave wonderland. We won't ever be able to spend time with real people. We need to get through that door"
Ariana said staring at me with her violet eyes.
