I'm so glad you're enjoying it! Part of it was my desire to write a story that was completely different from the story I'd just finished. Since I'd only ever written about one set of characters, I wanted my new characters to be the opposite. So I just started brainstorming about what kind of people they could be. Marty is partially based on someone I know in real life, and the idea of him trespassing on a rich person's property was based on an old story I loved as a kid. LOL Just a lot of things came together in my head. :)
