Sorry to say but I'm quitting Wattpad. I just don't go on this website anymore compared to AO3 which has a bigger range of fics I wanna read.

I'll still keep this account online for others to read my fics just for 5 fans who enjoyed them but I'm not gonna post anything more.

@LovelyMinako Oh... I see. Well, I hope things will go well for you, Minako. We're gonna miss you here, but maybe I'll check out AO3, if you're planning something there. - April 3rd, 2024/7:29pm

I've got a question for those who are reading my Soul of Yokai fanfics.

Should I do a version of Poems For You but it's completely separate from any previous characterisation of Nami (and Miyuna to an extent) that've ever written.

Because I am fully aware that had I tasked myself to write Sakuya and Nami's love story in the canonical universe first, Nami's (and Miyuna's) character would've been extremely different than had I written the AU first. (And if you're wondering why I did the AU first, it's because at the time, I was struggling to write a storyline for the prelude story so I decided to just do another version of Soul of Yokai but with characters swapped just so I can write love scenes between Nami and Sakuya until I finally figured out a storyline to do.)

And I also kinda want to write it since every time I imagine how Sakuya and Nami would've been canonically, I know they would be nothing like the ones I wrote since I had personal constraints to keep her character consistent. So I sorta want to write another one as a "This is what I actually think happened in canon". But if my followers already think I've written enough books of them and I would just waste my time writing it then I'm not going to do it.

As I am writing my current fanfiction, I reminded as to why I stopped writing my P3 fanfic. Fight scenes.

I LOATHE writing fight scenes. I can plan out character driven scenes and stories that contain fluff, angst, relationships, conflicts etc. But when it concerns having to write an epic, awesome fight scenes where the stakes are high and chips are down, you can bet I can't formulate how it would go down. I can come up with ideas on how they'd do it but I cannot for the life of me, get the scene written down.

And what sucks more is that more often than not, I feel when I write the scene down, it takes away any of the awesomeness it had in my head. My writing style is very direct. I don't bother to use metaphors or euphemisms and I often don't bother to paint a picture and instead focus on creating the dialogue and the character beats. So when I am writing down a fight scene, I often just write what directly happens "X punches Y, Y tackles X" and it takes away any of the possible thrill and excitement it had if it was done in an anime or movie where you visually see what happens.

You could literally pay me $1,000,000,000 to write a fight scene without any sort of references and I would decline.

But do y'all have any tips on how to write fight scenes? I am at a point in my story where a fight scene needs to happen and I cannot avoid it.

I mean yeah, I have become fond of bittersweet endings and tragedies over the years. After a while the "ideal happy ending" gets old.
