@clarady Absolutely no problem at all! It's brilliantly written and so very, very true. Great job! :D Ah yes, I don't know where I would be without the comedic fabulousness of Monty Python. Have you a favourite film or skit?

LovelyTroubadour

@CaptainVonDelgo Fair enough. I think I've seen the movie once. I liked Going Postal. But you're right, the earlier books are a bit darker, but still great. I really hope that TP's Alzheimer's doesn't destroy that brilliant mind.

Fair enough, I guess. I'm somewhere between atheist and agnostic, so it didn't bother me at all. But everyone is entitled to their views and beliefs. That is a bit of irony, isn't it? I'm glad your family don't hate it though :D you all sound awesome

LovelyTroubadour

Ah fair enough. There definitely is a lot of movies and shows worth watching. Yeah, animated movies can be hard to watch. M*A*S*H is great. That is certainly true.

Yeah.
Mm, no way I'd be allowed to watch it. My parents are kind of strict with what they let me watch, which is fine. There are thousands of other good movies and shows out there anyway that I can watch. I'm just not really that big on animated things, it's become a stretch for me to watch Disney movies now. I love M*A*S*H :D. Thinking about it later, that would have to be my second favourite show. It's just plain hilarious. I'm more a movie person, they don't require as much sitting down and watching. It's over in a couple of hours and complete.

@CaptainVonDelgo Fair enough, to each their own.

it is rated R, and can be quite confronting if you're not used to what's in it or aren't open to it, but it is a really good show. Very intricate and a pretty epic plot. I've only read the first book, but the book series, A Song Of Ice and Fire, is the same, I've heard. I didn't think I would like anime either, and some of it annoys me, but I've found a couple of good ones. The Mentalist is good, and I like M*A*S*H. Never seen Dr Who. Me neither :P

Guh, you're a fan of Queen! And Terry Pratchett! That enough is worth a follow! :P

I hadn't actually read The Light Fantastic before. I've seen the movie of it, and I watched that a few times so I didn't feel like reading the book, but it had been a while since I heard the story so I thought I'd read it. It was quite good. Very much like the movie. His early books definitely have a different feel to them compared to his later books, a bit darker.

Well it is blasphemous, they're making fun of the story of Christ. It's not to be taken literally, but that doesn't make it any better. That said, my family and I are all Christians and they love the movie. Hahaha, sounds like we'd get on pretty well then :P.

@CaptainVonDelgo Yeah, he is a runner. But I can't agree more! One word, an entire personality. Yes, just a bit of fried is good, but everything? It's be so greasy and eugh! The Light Fantastic was really good.

I'm glad you thought so :P Monty Python and the Holy Grail was hilarious. Life of Brian is my favourite, but it's gotten a lot of criticism for being blasphemous and things. It's not meant to be taken seriously. Hahahaha so could I! :P

Oh that's quite all right :D

It's all the running away, it gets repetitive after a while. But that's very true, considering how many times he's saved it. It's amazing how much personality there is in a thing that only says Ook. A little bit of fried is okay, but not everything :P. Well I've sort of started, finished the Light Fantastic yesterday.

The milkshake one was very amusing, I loved it :P. Haha. Search for the Holy Grail is the only Monty Python that I've seen, but it was certainly interesting. My older siblings love them. If you get Dan and one of my other brothers going then they could probably quote everything Monty Python every said :P
