Yes. Eventually, in the later chapters, where we get to the Jack the Ripper arc, we do save Reika and JtR. I won't spoil you on the story, but Reika would be the potential love interest.

That is a good idea, she was potentially the second interest if the story goes with Kairi giving Mordred to Y/n before he died. Or, which is the sadder route, Mordred doesn't survive.
