To My Dear Friend
          
          Hi gurl, Can I use your phone? I need to call Heaven and thank God for a beautiful and awesome friend like you! Send to 1 2 friends. Even me, if I am one. Today is "l LOVE YOU BFF DAY!" In 60 minutes something will make you super happy, but you've gotta tell 1 2 friends you love them. I hope I get one back.

So guys, after Aroma finishes, I decided to do something COMPLETELY different. It's going to be a romance novel about a teenage nerd, whose popular twin sister hooks him up with her best friend. 
          
          Don't worry. It's not a gooey romance, believe me. The main character is Caleb, who is super smart and his sister Amanda sets him up to tutor her best pal Victoria in an effort to get him to come out of his shell. However, Cal has a LOT going on in his life - his 12-year-old brother, Quinn, is dying of leukaemia and Cal's parents are rowing badly, including over Amanda's closeness to her boyfriend. Cal doesn't want to struggle with Victoria, but he finds himself drawn to her, and vice versa. 
          
          So there's some romance but there's also a heartbreaking story about Cal coping with his younger brother's terminal illness, his parents' strained marriage and his sister's promiscuous behaviour, plus his own love life.

HEY EVERYONE!!
          
          Soooo... Aroma has surpassed 2,000 reads! Thank you all for that! :) It's now coming up to 2,500 reads so thank you all so much for that. 
          
          Now that the good news is out of the way, I have... MORE GOOD NEWS! Chapters Twenty-One and Twenty-Two were published this week, and Twenty-Three will hopefully be up within the next 48 hours. As this summer has proved, updating has become more of a struggle as I'm moving into my final year of high school (I'm almost 16, eeeeek!) 
          
          So updating will become slower, but I'd like to finish Aroma by February. The book started in May, I think, so that would be the cutoff point for me. I don't want to be spending more than a year on a book! 
          
          Bad news, updating IS going to be harder over the next few weeks. I have big mock exams in December (right on my birthday - which is the same day as Esme and Nero's, the fourth of Dec!) and then the real exams from March onwards. I'm sh*tting bricks, to be quite frank, so any advice any of you might have would be very welcome!

          Thank y'all for being loyal fans, readers and friends. Aroma hasn't been easy - we're twenty chapters in, we've got a vague idea as to where Esme and Nero are, we know what happened... but now, Hades has been thrown into the mix. We know he's not gonna give up this world easily, because it hides what happened and how he lied to the gods. He'll give anything, risk anything, do anything, to ensure that things go back to how they were, where Percy and Annabeth were divorced and hated each other and the gods were out of the loop.
