I love my Mom today.  She had multiple strokes and dementia.  I was with her multiple times over the past few days both when she was coherent and after her brain shut down and she was nonresponsive.  
          I just had a medical procedure and couldn't be there today but my brother & his wife were with her.  So thats good.  She never woke up, no pain involved, just never woke up.
          my heart hurts.  I did tell her Thursday that I forgave her for the abuse and I would like to think she heard me

Just lost my job.  I'm not too upset, even tho I loved working at Meijers, the company was pulling some stuff I didn't agree with.  I haven't cried about being fired, looked them in the eye and said it was a mistake.  Now the gas station is down another person, more work for the store to fill my shifts.
          
          we've paid off several credit cards and will be ok financially until I find a new job.

2 new chapters for Whispers in the Shadow up

Little story about my Dad's 80th posted in Family.  nothing huge.

My chapter Repeating in Whispers of the Shadow is eerily brought to life in the Netflix show Orphan Black Echoes.  I've only watched the 1st 15 minutes but yeah, weird.  It came out in 2024.  Just thought, damn

I've missed some weeks from here.  I was ill and had been in the ER for an entire night.  The next week, my Dad had fallen and ended up in the hospital.  They found his heart was working at 15% and he couldn't feel his legs at all.  The hospital transported my Dad to a hospital in Madison that specialized in cardiac cases.  They ended up draining 7 liters of fluid off his heart, lungs and abdomen.  With this release of weight on his body, they then put two stents into his heart to open his ventricles up more.  It obviously worked as he has been transferred to a rehab facility closer to home.  I've gone to see him twice in Madison - a 400 mile round trip to pick up his wife who doesn't drive on the interstate and then to visit Dad.  Then drive all the way back - normally taking most of the day.  I have been so exhausted but drove out yet again this past Saturday.  My brother had driven up from Indiana to visit Dad and we needed to talk with him about life insurance policies, going into assisted living, his will ... you know, fun shit.
          My Dad is still breathing and still with us.  Emotionally, this has hit me hard, I can't imagine losing my Dad, ever.  Physically, my Fibro has fought back with back pain, cramping legs and spasms all over.  It's been a rough few weeks.
          
          BUT!  I have a new Whispers in the Shadow chapter and a new adventure in Family.  Love you all and when I remember to look, I enjoy your comments on my stories.
