Alright, so here’s the deal. It is currently 10:20 pm where I’m at and my 90-year old grandfather is in the hospital and will be having surgery on his heart tomorrow because he went into Cardiac Arrest twice last Friday.
But, that isn’t all of the story. About 30-40 years ago, my grandfather had a massive heart attack in Washington DC. He was rushed to the closest hospital, which happened to be the hospital where they take care of the presidents, and the doctors there did everything they could to help him. Every since that day, half of his heart hasn’t worked.
We don’t know why he is just having the problems now after 4 decades, but we think it might be because of his age.
Anyways, he’s going to get stints in his heart tomorrow. But, since he is 90-years old, the odds are not in his favor. It is most likely that he will die when they are going to try to put them in.
Today, he gave my brother his old watch that was made in the 80’s and told him he wanted him to have it. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to go and see him because one of my other grandparents had a heart attack two years ago (he’s still alive), and I passed out when I saw him hooked up to everything.
I am currently crying, thinking of all the good times I’ve had with him. I am praying that he will survive. He’s the closest member of my family I have besides my immediate. I probably won’t be able to sleep tonight, so please, talk to me. Anything.
