You know what I love about the ninjago community? I love how we’re kinda like k-pop fans when it comes to our fav characters. It’s not like it is typically with shows where one character is the fav - usually there’s a golden child- and the rest are liked but no one says they’re the favourite.

Instead, everyone has their own fav or “bias” of the ninja. And while I do think if we did a survey some would be more praised than others generally you can find a solid amount of fans for each of the ninja. Of the first five from Rise of the Snakes and that arc- like Kai, Cole, Zane, Lloyd, Jay.

BUT generally people don’t hate on you for your favourite. There’s not many people going “I don’t understand why people like ___ character they are so annoying”. Mostly people like all the ninja but just prefer one more OR at the very least are respectful about it.

I dunno, it’s something that makes me happy about the community.

My friend heard someone use a dog to explain adoption. How many ‘loner gets a kid randomly dropped into their life and then they get attached’ stories do we have to have before people grasp how adoption works XD.

I’m thinking Annie, The Mandalorian, The Last of Us, Brother Bear, The Wild Robot, Despicable Me, etc.

@LuckyBugBooks That's cool; my mom was actually adopted, too.

I don’t wish to make this long.

But I simply hope that those suffering and struggle and hurting now - get their luck improved. I want them to know that there are eyes watching, ears listening, and voices straining to heard out there. They are not ignored.

I put an emphasis on the U.S currently because I recently read a few articles about some of the events happening. And all I can say is that I am thankful for those who have seen me for me and not seen me as a monster or as something lower than human. And I feel such rage and sadness that there are those taking a huge group of diverse people and looping them under labels such as “alien” and “dangerous” and much worse to create fear and divide. To justify cruelty.

Look out into the world with an open heart and a careful mind please. Look at multiple sources. Research what sources are credible. And know you are not alone <3

I know I come here speaking to a very tiny, minuscule audience. That my voice is one that will likely not carry very far. It is also one that is privileged to look in from the outside. But the naive part of my heart still hopes. So let’s reflect on today so that we can work towards a better tomorrow.

I loved the ninjago 15th anniversary music video! It was so silly and it made me feel very nostalgic. The behind the scenes made me a little emotional. It was so lovely to see the cast together, wearing ninjago merch, voice acting these characters that I have loved for song long. Rest in peace Kirby Morrow. You are missed <3

I’m not promising I’ll be back for long. But I wanted to jump in to talk about the music video. And the more serious topic following.

HAS ANYONE WATCHED THE MIGHTY NEIN ANIMATED SERIES?

Please, I need to know there are other critical role fans out here XD

LuckyBugBooks

@esturg if you like fantasy, chaos, found family, angst, character-driven story, and adult humour I highly recommend <3

@LuckyBugBooks I could TRY watching it; I have the tendency to only watch things if I know who's in them, and I just saw that one of my favorite Sonic The Hedgehog voice actors is in it, so I might find the time to preview it.

The food I missed most when I went to Disney in America was Asian food (those pizza springrolls were insultingly horrendous), and maple syrup. Yes, I am Canadian so that’s probably why- maple syrup runs through my veins at this point- but to me it genuinely tastes so much better on waffles. The syrupy they had at Disney was so sickly sweet and had no flavour beyond sugar.

All in all enjoyed the trip of course! No problems at the border for me thankfully and there were lots of kind people but as soon as I got home I had so many noodles XD. I think my Chinese ancestors were crying when the food carts we went to in the Asian area mostly had churros and soft serve ice cream. Also nothing was remotely spicy. Good food! But a girl can only have fried chicken so many times. That crème brûle pastry thing was DELICIOUS though
