Just curious—how many of you just write when an idea hits you? Or do you always sit down and flesh out the character bios, plot, and so on first? Do you find one way is better for your productivity or creativity than the other? Thanks!!

I’m so late! My internet has been down. My writing process is pretty unorthodox. Haha

Basically, an idea hits me, I write an improvised summary of said idea, since the idea is normally pretty vague. Then I create characters in a similar fashion before writing up some plot points subject to change when I begin my first draft.

@LuckyPlum Aww, thanks! I love finding interesting ways to introduce circumstance or characters.

I didn’t actually do a ton of prewriting with MM, or at least not physical writing. I DID have a mental outline/list of events, however. I knew I wanted Sedge and Feyla to fight at Beryn’s, I knew who placed the curse and how it would be broken, I knew I wanted Sedge and Feyla to visit Bilara and Crayden (the order switched though), and I had an idea of the location of the final battle. And the characters had been around for years, of course. None of it was written down when I started; I had it planned out in my head.

Some things did change as I wrote though (such as a certain plot twist after Bilara’s).

Ironically, I did far more physical outlining for Magic’s Memories and that plot has changed a ton since I started. XD

@LuckyPlum On that part, I plot it down first ... either on paper or on google docs. A fresh sheet goes a long way!
Write all your idea down like an outline. Then jot down any minor ideas you want to see in your story like ... do you want to see your characters attack somebody ... do want any minor characters? Main point. Write your beginning [Point A - summary and then ending - Point Z} Here's the hard part ... figuring out how you will end the story ... but it's always best to know you're beginning and end, so you know that you have to finish it.
And every story needs a plot. Have fun writing!

Hello there! In a short section of your bio you mentioned about being a Christian. :)
Which encouraged me to do this.

Let me introduce you to BAL Ministry.

This is a new ministry I just started today focusing on spiritual growth and a close relationship with God. And as of this hour, I am on a quest to invite people to come and check out what this account has to offer. I was hoping you'd be interested. God bless. :)

          Sincerely,
          BAL

I read your webtoon on line. It's so cute! And I really like the idea of it! I won't mind reading a story/webtoon on it ;)

@butterfly_effect oh wow!! Thank you! I have another story I’m crazy about (been two years I’ve been thinking of the story and characters) that is first up in the queue. If I can set aside the time to get it drawn, I’d like to make it Eve and Eric’s story longer story in time for next Halloween.
