Luigi Formola (1986) is an Italian comic book writer and screenwriter. He holds a degree in Corporate Communication and studied screenwriting at the International School of Comics in Rome, starting a career that spans comics as a writer, editor, and translator. He is also a tenured support teacher; his daily work with students on the autism spectrum and with other cognitive and emotional disabilities strongly influences his writing, which focuses on themes of communication, diversity, and human relationships.
He has collaborated with several Italian publishers, including Shockdom, SaldaPress, and Edizioni NPE, as well as with independent projects and comics collectives. His main works include Auf Wiedersehen, Pulcinella! (Shockdom), a graphic novel about Italian emigration to Germany in the 1970s, Underdogs (SaldaPress), and The World in a Fixed Point (Il mondo in un punto fisso, SaldaPress), which addresses autism and neurodiversity. Auf Wiedersehen, Pulcinella! has also been distributed internationally, including a Spanish-language edition.

Laureato in Comunicazione d'impresa, si forma come sceneggiatore alla Scuola Internazionale di Comics di Roma, avviando un percorso che lo porta a lavorare nel fumetto come autore, editor e traduttore. Parallelamente è docente di ruolo di sostegno: l'esperienza quotidiana a contatto con studenti con disturbi dello spettro autistico e altre fragilità influenza profondamente la sua scrittura.
Ha collaborato con diverse case editrici, tra cui Shockdom, SaldaPress ed Edizioni NPE, e con realtà indipendenti e collettivi fumettistici. Tra le sue opere principali figurano Auf Wiedersehen, Pulcinella! (Shockdom), graphic novel sull'emigrazione italiana in Germania negli anni Settanta, Underdogs (SaldaPress) e Il mondo in un punto fisso (SaldaPress), dedicato al tema dell'autismo. Auf Wiedersehen, Pulcinella! ha avuto anche diffusione in Francia e Spagna.
