@Lullabywitch: I don't argue at all with the critical comments, even when clearly malicious. For example, I was trying to figure out whether my synopsis was clear/appealing, and a handful of people just wanted to mock it as if it were incredibly stupid and in need of their superior editing skills. I simply thanked them for their initial feedback and ignored their subsequent comments.

It's hard to let mean spirited comments 'roll off your back.' Very hard. Especially if you fear there is some truth to them, which of course we usually do because we aren't the super heroines with insane levels of confidence (emphasis on insane! lol)

But for me, if I find even ONE reader who genuinely enjoys reading what I write, I feel incredibly happy. I get to share my daydreams with someone else. It's super cool. We have to have some type of basic underlying similarity to both enjoy it, I think! So I love that. And the naysayers...they're just other people who I don't share that with! So I'm fine with that.

@LexieTalionis yes very easy indeed. Me too! It's so dangerous to start reading a good book before needing to go somewhere or be going to sleep. I find it helps, I call reading therapy session's it's not a problemmmm :') it's good for me and I know it does the same for others too. I also believe its good to encourage people to carry on with their work and its nice to share positive thoughts and feelings about another writers work it helps keep a healthy mind and let's the author know they are appreciated <3

@Lullabywitch This does my heart good--knowing you binged on it!! lol. And it would be so easy to get side tracked on here. Literally millions of stories at our fingertips.

If this had been around when I was a child, I would have never, ever slept. I barely slept as it was, with a book first thing in the morning & done by 4th period, another book to get me through the rest of school, and then another book for the ride home on the bus and to sneak away at my house and read until I finished it that night. By my junior year, I realized...I had a problem.
