Hi, we're LumiZephyr, we're a three person team of friends and hobbyist writers who used to work extensively with the original author of Children of Alola when she was active. As of November 2023, we have plans to not only give the story a facelift, but an extensive rewrite.

To those who have read the original writing, you may have noticed that there was a lot of distasteful subjects that made the story NSFW, which were done under the duress of the original author. We can't go into further detail regarding the things that she has done, but she relinquished her story to us and is no longer part of our lives, and no longer has any involvement in the story or its creative process.

          	*What's happening now?*

We're going to make original art for our story, whether this be a book cover, profile pic for the account itself, or art to stick between the pages to help with immersion. We're well aware that we can only take so much personal credit with Pokemon fanart; however, it's a lot better than having to go with art that clearly belonged to other people. For that, we sincerely apologize.

We're also going to rewrite the story extensively. The original writing had a concerning amount of, well, unsavory content, all done to fill what we call "an edge quota."

It should also be noted that this story will be handled behind closed doors. It will NOT have publicly released updates like the original author wanted them to. It will NOT be uploaded publicly in parts like last time. When the book drops, it drops in its entirety, and the publishing date is whenever it happens. A few months from now? A year? Two years? Nobody knows. Not even us.

Thank you for reading. We look forward to being able to release this story from the depths of limbo.

The Children of Alola chapter 4 update.

I'm gonna have to abandon my old format with the notes because my co writer writes his own books and uses the same format. He used to help me write this one but we decided to keep copyright to our own works and this extends to our formats for bringing updates.

I'll keep it short. Tonight I've reduced dialogue tags, made minor edits to dialogue and even swapped lines in terms of who delivers them, and tried to bring out more emotion in the scenes.

There may have been more changes but why list them when you could read them?

          Thanks for reading my book

The Children of Alola chapter 3 patch notes.

It's that time again! Here's another cleanup of a chapter that was written a couple of years ago back when I was still in high school.

          -Dialogue tags? Removed.
-Between two of our main characters, I turned Calder's rambling into a conversation between him and his brother, Randolph. It is now a proper conversation with extra detail to make it come to life.
-Punctuation fixes. Not everything needed ?! to denote surprise.
-Grammar has been fixed here and there.
-Paragraphs have been split up between characters for the sake of better flow and clarity.
-Added a small reference to Galar's curry feature from generation 8. Granted, this book was written way before Pokemon Sword/Shield were a thing (2017 at the earliest. Maybe 2016).
          -Extra dialogue/detail has been added.

The Children of Alola chapter 2 patch notes

This is another massive overhaul to the chapter. This should have as much, if not more, changes than the last chapter.

-Extra exposition at the beginning to set the mood surrounding a couple of characters.
-Dialogue tags have been severely cut back.
-Some characters get an extra line, while others had their line(s) removed or swapped for better flow.
-Here's a big one: Esmerelda is now henceforth named Esmeralda.
-Grammar and punctuation have been revised and fixed. In that same vein, unnecessary punctuation has been replaced with the proper ones.
-Cut down on exposition, especially Esmeralda's. In a future patch, all character exposition may be deleted entirely for the sake of letting actions do all of the explaining.
-Made an effort to stop telling emotion and start showing it.
-Changed multiple actions and sentences for the sake of better flow and comprehension.
-Each character gets their own sentence when they speak.
