Before, I used to write poems/poetry about depression, sadness, emptiness, and feeling void (as well as some Random haiku). It reflected what my inner world used to be- chaotic, empty, and lonely. But now, the narrative changed 'cuz Jesus Christ entered into the narrative.

I still actually can't believe it, how the mood/theme of my poems truly shifted from darkness to "light". Because I used to think that darkness would be my forever friend; however, He (Jesus) changed everything. From hopelessness to hope, from emptiness to purpose, from pain to joy, from facade to genuine connection. He really changed who I used to be.

To all the people out there who are/were in the same situation as me, get to know Jesus. He will completely change your life, bit by bit, sometimes, overnight.

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." - John 8:36

And if you're following Jesus already, keep following Him (and most importantly, obeying Him). Be a Salt and Light in this community, Wattpad.
