I want to be happy. Just sometimes the dark thoughts don’t let me. Overcoming depression isn’t just about “find a therapist or just be happy.” Some people can’t work with therapists. Depression is about having all the same emotions, angry, happy, and sad, it’s just the sadness overpowering everything makes depressed people seem sad all the time. They aren’t. They feel happy on days, others not so much. People go through it, it’s life. Even non depressed people go through that. Depression is something that just makes sadness overshadow happiness. We feel happy, just in little amounts. Most depressed people don’t want to be sad, just their thoughts don’t let them. But, those thoughts can go away, if you never let them take over in the first place.
