Your rant abut a good werewolf story is so true. Because of this alpha/rejection/white werewolf thing going on, I didn't want to read werewolf stories anymore. Now I'm writing one myself, and I read more original stories know. Some original book don't have so much reads, and I think they deserve more because they are original. Last time I read a story with 2 million reads, again with a alpha theme, and a lot of spelling and grammar errors. Why????

@WavingHello thank you! I think it's mostly because they're familiar and "safe" material. I was at that stage once where I only read a certain genre or theme of story (for me historical romance w/ a poor girl rich guy theme rip high school me) because they were safe and predictable. I could just turn my brain off and be entertained for a few hours. Which I get, I do, but it stifles you in a lot of ways. I've only just recently (the past few years) gone out of my paranormal/historical romance cubby and tried other genres. I still go back to the "familiar" stuff but i find I'm a lot pickier when it comes to the writing and the overall story. Also some people don't mind spelling/grammar errors but tbh i've always hated it even when i was a kid so idk about that. That's beyond me....

Your rant/tips on writing a good werewolf story had me laughing like crazy. It's all so true and I agree with every point of yours. I just don't understand why people don't think like that while writing werewolf books. :/ You really need to write more stuff like this, though.

ok, listen up, just because a character isn't REAL, just because vampires/werewolves aren't REAL; IT DOES NOT MAKE THEIR BAD ACTIONS OK. IT DOES NOT EXCUSE STALKING, ABUSE, POSSESSIVE /OBSESSIVE BEHAVIOR (TO THE POINT OF ABUSE), OR ANYTHING OF THAT MANNER. A man being ABUSIVE AND STALKER-ISH doesn't make it ok "JUST BECAUSE HE'S A WEREWOLF". It does NOT "justify" his actions.
