          	-SPOILER-
          	But she liked this company.

She liked this darkness that was open and breathable.

She liked standing under this beautiful blue sky that appeared so dreamy.

She liked this silence that stood beside her, copying her style, watching the sky with her.

She liked how it didn't scratch her heart out.

          	This darkness was soothing.
          	This silence was soothing.

Unlike hers that was insufferable and choking.

Her darkness could consume any ray of light.
          	Her silence could hurt ears.
They could turn anything to despair.

But the darkness she was standing under and the silence hugging her will allow the light to appear sooner or later, she knew.

          	They weren't bereft like her.

They were lively, in front of which even her demons kneeled.

Kashish leaned against the black beast that was hers ,leisurely, folding her arms and crossing her legs at the ankles.

She closed her eyes, allowing the serenity brush over her, knowing it won't last forever. It would be short lived, but she chose not to complain.

She wanted to cherish the countable time with utter quietness.

The sweet, not so chilly breeze caressed her skin softly, relaxing her mind that had been a hassle for the past hour, her shoulders eased as tension melted.

The wind tingled her and she breathed it in, holding onto the temporary piece of peace.

Minutes passed and Kashish stood there still.

          	Unmoving. Breathing. Relishing.

This helped her. Whatever this could be named. It helped her.

Her insides calmed, no more the strange emotion caging, her mind void of any thought.

          	But suddenly—
The silence was ripped apart in that darkness.

          	Kashish heard a loud scream.

          Sneak Peak

Mid eating, I asked. “What about you? What qualities do you expect?”

          “You.”

My hand holding the fork stopped.

          Did I hear it wrong?

I looked at him and he was already watching. A moment passed when he repeated. “It’s you, Ishqi. You are everything I want in my wife.”

With a pounding heart and a mouth that didn’t know what to say, I just stared.

He sounded so sure, his every word was so confident, his gaze was unwavering holding a promise, and I couldn’t know how.

A soft teasing smile appeared on his face. “Eat, Ishqi, you are red.”

My cheeks burned with embarrassment, and yet my heart fluttered.

Wordlessly, I resumed eating, not wanting to look him in the eyes again out of shyness.

But in all this chaos and calm, a thought lingered—

Is he too good to be true? Just a fleeting prince charming?

Ch3 of Knowing him also updated on stck. Cgel it out. Word count:- 2.18K

People will hate on her for the match fixing she never ever committed. And her arm, it will never be as same as before. She would never be able to hold her bat again, play for the country again, wear the jersey again, hear those loud cheers again.

Everything will disappear like it never existed.

Gripped by utter loneliness and desperate silence, Kashish yearned for a touch to rely on, a touch that would hold her, wordlessly tell her vulnerability is not a weakness, would not raise a gaze of accusation, would not demand a proof of her innocence, hold her so close and tight that she would forget every bad thing that happened to her, console her so good she could have a peaceful time.

She yearned for the touch which could feel so right.

With the knife in her heart, she felt drained.

Medicines began showing their effect and slowly, gradually she drifted off, a temporary escape from the world she now hated.

          Hours passed.

          Happy reading!

To my surprise, the whole restaurant was empty. I couldn't spot any customer but staff.

Was this restaurant so expensive that no one could afford it or minus rated?

Confusion took over me but I had no time for those tea talks right now.

The hands of the clock had surpassed 4:35pm. So fucking late!

I went to the counter, cooled myself and asked in a slightly controlled tone. "Is there any table reserved under the name of—?"

I trailed off. Fucking damn! Ishqi, just drown yourself! How can you be here for a blind date with the brain that does not remember the name of the guy!? Damn it!!

The guy at the counter was giving my a mixed look. I decided to take my phone out and check, but before I could make a move, I heard a deep, heavy, an oddly serene voice.

          "Siddharth Raizada."

          Happy reading!
