Alright so, updating Wake of the Dead isn't my priority anymore. I'm going to keep the drafts up though AND maybe occasionally put out another chapter when I just so happen to get around to it. Why? Because I'm working on second drafts outside of Wattpad to hopefully self-publish in an official capacity one day. 
          	 I truly believe that focusing on it outside  of Wattpad will be the only way I ever reach this goal. HOWEVER, I had most of the rest of the story planned out anyways, so if you want any answers to how the series is supposed to end and about the character's and their futures, hit up my direct messages and I will answer the questions you have. Once again, this isn't the end to updates COMPLETELY. But progress to the series will continue to be as slow as it has been in the past couple of months.
          	
          	I've seen other places online like AO3 where people will basically "continue" 'abandoned' stories that they like and I'm going to say this now, no matter how selfish people may think this is: I will NEVER be okay with this. Fanfiction? Go ahead, just credit the original story (though I am not cocky enough to actually believe people would write fanfic about my stories). But if anybody tries to "continue" Wake of the Dead, of course I will not be able to stop them, but I can only ask in the best faith possible that they do not.

omg does this mean I’ll be able to purchase wake of the dead in paperback one day?! Even if not, I’m sure I’ll purchase any other work you come out with, I’m super excited! Work on your goals man, don’t let us hold you up

It's a good thing that my writing has improved but I'm still kind of embarrassed how bad Wake of the Dead was written...so many plot holes, badly written characters and arcs. Ugh. I need to rewrite it. Glad people are still enjoying it though.

I've been called to attention that in the first and parts of the second WOTD books that Jasper will occasionally nickname Killian "kid," which, is obviously definitely suspect and not great. It's something I'm changing in the rewrite and I'll say now that Killian is 22 at the start of the series and Jasper is 25. At the time when I originally wrote the story I had a lot of unresolved trauma and so a lot of things I thought was normal in romantic relationships definitely was not. Since then I've been to therapy and have realized those things aren't appropriate at all.
          
          I really hate and loathe that I wasn't able to see that while I was writing it in the past and I'm working on going back and editing/changing it. If you see it then please comment on that paragraph so I can go back and correct it. I'm also not going to have any of that in the second draft I'm working on as I'm looking to self-publish in the future. 
          
          If you read all of this, thank you. I hope clearing this up will help people better enjoy the story now and I sincerely apologize if any of those instances have caused people discomfort.

My plans for Wake/Rise of the dead are pretty set in stone for the future, as well as all of my current projects. I’m not going anywhere and if I ever change platforms permanently I’ll let you all know. But here’s a summary:
          
          All stories on my profile are essentially first drafts that are nearly unedited and in their purest forms. Barely any pre-planning or anything. 
          
          For my projects going forward I very much just want to finish Rise of the Dead so I can rewrite the whole series as second-drafts while edited along the way. Eventually I will self-publish all of them. 
          
          Of course this is all wishful thinking and it’s a plan that’s going to take at least maybe two more years. But those are my intentions and plans.
