          I have just received news that my hardy old Lola, mother of my father, is in the hospital in the Philippines and has been declared brain-dead. 
          
          In light of this situation, I will be briefly retreating from this account in order to properly deal with the grief and devastation this has dealt to my father's family. Please do not expect much, if any, updates to this site.
