I hate it when people in fanfics and posts say that James was a chaser.
"He had the build of a chaser"
"Chaser of the Gryffindor team"
One even said, "Harry was a chaser like his father."
Like stop! James was a seeker. That's literally one of the few Canon things we know about him. Harry was a seeker like his father. James was always playing with a snitch.
Do people not read the books? The "I only watched the movies" excuse doesn't work either because in the first movie, his name literally says seeker under it on the shield.
Maybe I'm overreacting.

I was reading this fanfic, and it said that he was a chaser and I was like, hold up- If my memory serves me right, he is literally shown as a seeker in every single flashback, so basically everything Canon we know about the Marauders. I understand that the fandom is mostly fanon, but the few pieces of information that are Canon should be respected.

You know what the Marvel Fandom actually needs?
A series, kinda of like a sitcom, featuring Peter and Tony Stark doing all sorts of stuff and growing closer together until they are literally like family.
Special episodes could feature other avengers and Morgan and Pepper and Aunt May.

Guys, guess what I realized. This might burst the bubbles of a lot of Marauder fans, but I don't think McGonagall taught the Marauders from their first year.
In the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone movie, Harry sees James Potter's name on the Quidditch display as a seeker. His shield is dated 1972.
Right next to it is a shield labeled M. McGonagall dated with the year 1971. This technically means that McGonagall was still at school in the Marauders first year. Therefore she couldn't have been their teacher.
In my opinion, she started teaching in their 4th or 5th year but the fact that she was at school in their house during at least their first year would tell how she knew them so well.
Anyway, that's my theory
