          I've just posted Chapter 47 of Mixed Blood. This will be my last chapter of the year as I've decided to follow through with my tradition of taking December off from posting. 
          
          Thank you all so much for your support this last year and a half. I know my hiatus was unexpected and went on for way longer than it should have, so the fact that you all keep coming back has me genuinely touched. 
          
          I'm committed to finishing Mixed Blood, and therefore the Ancient Blood Series, in the first half of 2025. It's been my passion project for so long, but I would be lying if I said I didn't want to work on something new. I have so many ideas for new projects, including The Paralegal (the 4-chapter sample is still up on my page if you haven't checked it out yet, btw).
          
          Have an AMAZING December. Happy holidays, if you celebrate any of them. Happy New Year to everyone!

Chapter 46 is published! One more chapter next week, and then I'm on vacation until 2025.

          I have decided I am going to continue my tradition and take December off from posting. I know that I just came back from my hiatus, but I hope you guys understand how important it is for me to take the month to let my brain reset. It's been great coming back and getting back into a consistent schedule, and I want to make sure that I have enough gas in the tank to keep going until the book is done.
          
          So you can expect updates for three (3) more weeks until November 28. Then I'll be back on January 5, 2025.

Not an error. TWO Chapters of Mixed Blood today!!
          
          I had a really good week for writing, followed by a minor existential crisis that I've been working on this book for two freaking years and I'd like to finish it some time this decade.
          
          It won't be every week, but when I have a good backlog of chapters, I'll post an extra.

          FYI there will not be a chapter posted next week. It's Thanksgiving this weekend up here in Canada, and both my nephew's and my husband's birthdays are coming up, so I need to focus on my family for a little bit.
          
          I'll be back on Oct 24 with chapter 41.
          
          I would say enjoy the chapter but... like I said, no one wanted this.

          So sorry for the delay. There WILL be a Mixed Blood update today. There was a catastrophe at work and I've been at the hospital for the last 30 hours helping to put out metaphorical fires.
          
          Just hang on for another 3 or 4 hours, and the next chapter will be up.
