✨Character Bites✨ Elijah’s “Odd Jobs”

If you’ve read the latest chapter of The Cursed Pharaoh’s Bride, you might have learned that Elijah used to do knife tricks with fire as a child, which got him some attention from some adults in his village. This attention lead to him working as an assistant to a blacksmith. While smelting metals was one of Elijah’s more favorite jobs, he was also hired by farmers to use his flames to help renew their soil during various times throughout the year. Unfortunately, because of Elijah’s gifts, he found himself in various situations where he would almost get kidnapped so those who hired him could force him to work for free. Because of this, Elijah learned from a young age to use his flames to defend himself. He had to learn to conceal his identity as a magic user more to protect himself. Because of this, he also took jobs later on that didn’t involve him using his magic such as working as a stable boy for nobles, which is where he eventually learned how to take care of and ride horses. He may had gotten in trouble as a kid a once for taking a noble’s chariot out for a joy ride.

✨Character Bites✨ — If Elijah or Carolina Got Sick

Flu season has hit hard and I myself have fallen prey to it. It’s made me wonder what it would be like if Elijah or Carolina got sick with the flu…

Elijah: Elijah has never gotten sick given his demigod healing abilities. Hypothetically if he could get sick, he would act like the biggest baby about it. Part of it is because he’s never experienced the torture of body aches before. But another part of it is he loves how Carolina will pamper him and give him extra attention while he’s sick. The only other downside of the experience is that he would insist Carolina sleep in a separate bed for a few days. As much as he wants to cuddle more than anything while he’s in a weakened state, he’d hate for his soulmate to get infected.

Carolina: Like any other person, Carolina has gotten sick so she is prepared to handle a flu. She wouldn’t make a big deal out of it but her overprotective soulmate would. Elijah would wrap her under several layers of clothing, tightly tuck her underneath their bed sheets, and spoon feed her chicken noodle soup himself. He would go overboard, but the demigod means well. After all, he comes from a time where the average person could easily die from the smallest infection.

Bonus - Charles: Charles is the psycho who would show up to work sick. He’d have a fever and not notice. Chills? There must be a draft in the room. Sneezing? It’s just allergies. Only way he would take time off is if Carolina forces him to. And if she can’t convince him, she’ll just make Elijah force him to take a couple of days off to recover.

It’s end of January and one of my professors brought up that it’s that time of year when everyone starts giving up on their New Year’s Resolution diets and workout plans LOL. It’s not easy but I have started cutting my calories and started the Mediterranean diet to manage a health condition I have. It doesn’t help that cold weather is made for hot comfort foods, preferably those covered in lots of cheese. Is the weather giving anyone else the winter blues because I just want to stay home all day, watching movies, writing, drinking hot chocolate, and ordering takeout ;-;

@FrejaKines42 I’m heavy on trying to get back on my diet part. Or at least eating normally. No more holiday foods for a while

@MHanonymous1 I've literally been making so much homemade hot cocoa that it's insane. Thankfully, I never made a New years resolution to start with, lol. But I seriously need to get back on my diet.

Happy New Year!!! I hope that everyone enjoys their day and I hope you've all had a restful holiday season!

I'm looking forward to posting the rest of The Cursed Pharaoh's Bride this year. The end is in sight and I will be posting regular updates on when you all can expect the last chapters to come out! I'm grateful for the all the support my book has been getting so far, and I'm hopeful I can eventually announce new projects that I would like to share in the future.

Who else hates the procrastination writer’s block?

And it’s not like I don’t have ideas. I do. But I have so many things on my mind that I don’t want to focus on perusing any one of them . Thanksgiving has come to an end which I’m bummed about. And I know how to write the end of The Cursed Pharaoh’s Bride but ideas for my next novels like to phase into my mind and go “Hey, I want attention! Ignore the idea you have in motion that’s coming to an end and start a new adventure!” Like all my thoughts need to get back in their lanes. Anybody else feel this kind of writer’s block? And how do you deal with it?

MHanonymous1

@GurlBawse2 Thank you so much for the support and the advice! It's a good thing I asked for new journals and stationary for Christmas haha! :) Happy New Year to you as well!!!

@MHanonymous1 love your book. My advice is to pen down the ideas that you have and put them in categories. That way you can still write. Write down the ending of The Cursed Pharaoh’s Bride and work aroound it to create the other chapters that you want. If you let the other ideas stay in your head they will haunt you lol just write them down and feel them out. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Gave my profile page a face lift! ❤️❤️

Thought I’d let everyone where I go mentally when I go write. Welcome to the enchanted forest — my magical domain! Perfect place for a paranormal/fantasy-romance author to find inspiration.

I need to get back in the cabin because I’ve spent these past two days in the kitchen for Thanksgiving. Hosting family is fun but very tiring

Recently changed the status of The Cursed Pharaoh's Bride to "Mature"!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I changed the rating of my novel because some of the later parts contain a few depictions of violence, sexuality, and strong language. These depictions are few and far between but they exist. They also aren't particularly graphic in my opinion but to make sure I'm adhering to Wattpad's guidelines and warning younger readers, I chose to make this change anyways.

Fortunately, most of my readers are 18+ as my novel is a young adult one, so I don't think there will be any problems. I also will be including warnings in the beginning of my more mature chapters so readers can skip through if they don't want to read it.

Does anyone have any advice as to how Book Clubs and communities work on Wattpad? I've done some research but a lot of information is outdated and I feel like the website has gone through changes over the years. Do forums even exist for authors and readers?

MHanonymous1

@Olivia_Benedetti I would be very interested to learn more about the Wattys book club. If you could share a link or any specific profiles/pages I would really appreciate it!
