I write dark fantasy and urban fantasy (and contemporary romance as Melanie Scott/Emma Douglas).  In my spare time I read a lot, try not to binge watch too much tv, paint, hang out with my friends and get bossed around by my cats.

The Day You Went Away is a prequel short story to my Wild Side Urban Fantasy trilogy which gives a glimpse of what happened to the hero and heroine of that series before Book 1, The Wolf Within.

Wicked Games is another more magic focused urban fantasy idea I'm working on.
