          “You’re not what I expected,” I said, watching as she wiped grease off her cheek with the back of her hand—only smearing it worse.
          
          She looked up from under the hood, cheeks flushed from the heat, ponytail slipping loose. “Because I’m not a middle-aged guy with a beer belly?”
          
          I scratched the back of my neck, trying not to stare. “Pretty much.”
          
          She laughed—soft and genuine. “Sorry to disappoint.”
          
          “You didn’t,” I said before I could stop myself.
          
          She smiled, then turned back to the car like it was nothing.
          
          “Your pads are uneven,” she said, calm and focused. “Carbon-ceramics get fussy when they’re hot. I can walk you through it, if you want.”
          
          I nodded, slower than I meant to. “Yeah… I—yeah. That’d be great.”
          
          Well, shit. I might’ve just found my new favorite mechanic.
          
          And if I wasn’t careful, she was gonna fix a lot more than my car.
          
          AHHHHH You didn’t hear that from me though 

Hey Queen…soooo i’m working on a new story right now….. AHHHHHHH i knowwwww!! But I had to spill the tea because you’re one of my absolute FAVORITE readers from Love in the Storm.
          
          I only picked two people for this, and you’re one of them  you’ve supported me since the start, and have left the most wholesome messages, and genuinely made it all feel so special. I'll FOREVER be grateful for that. this is just my little thank you.
          
          Sooo the new story is officially in the works. I still have no idea what the name is yet  but the plot is thick and the characters are mostly developed. I'm so excited for it. And before you wonder YES, it does stem from one of the Love in the Storm characters…. hehe
          
          BUT I thought it’d be fun to let you sneak something into it. So, kind of like our little inside thing. A tiny easter egg that’s just between us 
          you totally don’t have to, of course, but if you want to, send me something that feels like you. I’ll actually be incorporating it into the story somewhere, so when you read it later, you’ll know exactly what part’s yours 
          Here are just a few ideas if you need inspo:
           • a dream car you’ve always loved
           • a song you’ve had on repeat recently.. aka me with Tate Mcrae lol
           • a dog or pet name you adore 
           • your favorite food or drink
           • an inside joke or quote that gives your vibe
           • maybe even a scene idea — something you’d love to see happen 
           • OR literally anything random you’d be excited to read when it popped up
          i’ll find a way to work it in one way or another
