//because my A-level results come out tomorrow and I'm terrified. Here is an unwanted angsty Mattea starter The sky had opened with rain as Mattea lay in the middle of a car park bloodied and bruised, with tears streaming down her face. The man which she once gladly called her brother was lying dead at her feet. She took no joy in killing Oliver unlike the majority of her kills, but she would be a fool to say that she came out unscathed. She didn't even need to inspect the damage done, she could feel it. Pain was ricocheting throughout her body. She sighed, closing her eyes. How fitting really to die at the hands of her once ally instead of an enemy? The rain hit harder now, as she rested her head near a wheel of the lone car in the car park. Ready to die until her ears pricked up, footsteps and a voice. She opened her eyes, unshed tears blurred her vision but she could make out the person. "Jake." She breathed, before wincing in pain.

@MSSR_MOONY_ //mon coeur in french means my heart Mattea yawned feeling somewhat sleepy all of a sudden. “You were watching our wedding videos and the noise woke me up so I decided to watch a bit of it.” She explained, “It made me realise how stupid I’ve been mon coeur.” She listened and nodded at the rule of no more lies. She kept her expression blank as she listened, but her mind was screaming. He was telling her ‘no more lies’ when he was actively lying to her and going to sell her out to his organisation. At least she came clean, he didn’t. She forced herself to nod in agreement. “Yeah, it sounds good. No more lies from either of us, I can live with that.” She tried to sound as nonchalant as possible, as her eyes roamed his figure. He still had the gun in his jacket as well as a few expertly hidden knives on him, which if you didn’t want what you were looking for, you wouldn’t be able to notice. Even though he looked disheveled, she had no doubt that if she were to fight him in this state, he would win. So that avenue was busted. Seduction and getting into Jake’s head would possibly be effective, but by the way he was acting it would be less easy and he’d be less receptive to it. Blindsiding him, that may work. She looked as if she was debating on telling him something. “I read your messages with Chester about Chess Club and I want to help you find the grandmaster.” She said matter of factly before her voice dropped a few octaves to a near whisper “I want to help you find the Viper.”

@softtelekinetic He moved a bit as the light of the phone lit up his face when Mattea searched it. It was already dark outside and the hospital staff answered only urgent calls, trying to catch up on the day with small nap just like Jake. He muttered softly but uncomprehendingly something about viper, then hugged more onto his leg. Mattea's voice woke him up like a charm. He always reacted to her voice even in his sleep and found it a bit scary. Slowly blinking, he looked up to her sleepily. "Hey. How are you feeling? You know it's middle of the night, right hun? And you're after long surgery, you need to rest. Mm, is that my phone? You checked my messages with Chester about the chess club?" He asked casually, straightening on the chair and stretching his limbs. "Id love to forget what happened but it's been a while since you left, i lived my life. We can give it a chance, but then we also need to set up some ground rules like number 1, no more lies" He spoke strictly

@MSSR_MOONY_ He hadn’t even locked his phone, typical Jake. She resisted the urge to grin at that and tried to ignore the sentimental feeling their wedding video gave her. She checked his messages and rolled her eyes at his mention of a cipher. Idiot, all ciphers could be cracked and she frowned at the mention of him tracking the suspect, it didn’t take a genius to figure out that he meant her. She saw him stir a bit and she flicked back to their wedding video and began playing it and allowed a smile to cross her face. She always cried at their vows and even with the betrayal she was still crying. “I thought you were the most handsomest man alive that day and I was so happy. What went wrong with us, Jake?” She asked sorrowfully. Maybe she was truly asking and silently begging for him to take her back and make everything right again or maybe she was trying to lure him into a trap. She’d didn’t even know anymore. “Can we fix what happened Jake?” She then added in a small voice.
