          How would it be possible for a first generation African-American to be born to a German and Black Welsh descended couple?

@MThordottir African-Americans don't have dual citizenship in most cases. It's not about citizenship... It is about cultural heritage. My sister was born in Egypt, my brother in Saudi Arabia while our American parents were traveling. They can both claim their respective dual citizenship if they desire... But my sister isn't African American and my brother isn't Saudi American.
