@CherryBlossoms79 I haven’t seen much of Abbot, but I love Robby. The show definitely lives up to the hype.

AMY’S MENTAL HEALTH STRUGGLES
          A lot of people were taken aback by the last chapter, maybe I didn’t do a good job at highlighting her struggles, but I want people to understand where it came from.

          Here are some highlights from the book that shows her mental health struggles or hint at it;
          — Her parents were murdered by her aunt, who she investigated and arrested, who died in prison
          — She is a veteran. Enough said
          — She spends most of season 1 investigating a murder where the person had their throat cut— like her— but also that murder is later tied to her family
          — She has trust issues, doesn’t like open spaces and is very closed off
          — The scene with her in the bathroom after Antonio is shot
          — The scene in the bathroom where she touches her scar and remembers the traumatic time after returning from the rangers.
          — She doesn’t like hospital and doesn’t go for medical treatment, which means also she doesn’t talk to medical professionals in general, including therapist.
          — That means she never talked to anyone about losing her parents to murder or her time in the rangers
          — The bet would bring attention to the scar, have more people talk about it, reminding her each time.

          Those are just the first things that come to mind. I hope knowing this, you can read the story again and maybe have a better understanding. Also, keep in mind PTSD looks different on everyone. It doesn’t affect people the same.

          The one mistake I did was word it as a “break down,” even though I did use the quotation marks. It wasn’t technically a break down. Not entirely sure how to categorize it, tbh.
